Days 4 - 6

Day 4
Another easy day!  For breakfast, ham omelet, no cheese.  Lunch were turkey roll ups with laughing cow cheese, only 1 triangle.  For dinner, my favorite on this diet.  BBQ brisket lean, with a bit of BBQ sauce and a few pickles.  It's 5:53 on February 27, and I'm almost halfway through the 10 day start up and finished eating for the night!

Day 5
Today I skipped breakfast which is NEVER a good idea; also chips are NEVER a good idea.  I didn't do chips, just reminding myself of Dukan's advice.  Many may think this is a bad diet--not healthy, etc.  But is is like my doctor said, it beats what you are doing now which is nothing.  She is so right.  My health is bad because of my eating habits so I can at least eat bad and maybe lose weight.

The day did get better--although I ate more Chick McNuggets.  It's mostly protein so it is sort of my guilty pleasure right now.  Had some chicken and brisket at the meeting which was perfect! Skipped the broccoli salad, potatoes and yummy Tres Leches cake for my friend's birthday.  Sad!

Came home to a steak that my sweet husband had made.  Long drive home so I was too tired to even think about eating which is a good thing!

Day 6
Today is going to be tough as it is a day that I am hanging out at home trying to get caught up and easy access to food!  UGH!  So far, so good though.  Late breakfast of 2 eggs, 4 pieces of turkey bacon.  I was going to weigh today but I forgot to.  I plan to do that first thing in the morning.  Hope I'm not disgusted with it as I didn't weigh before starting the diet 6 days ago and had no idea how much I'd gained in the last few weeks.

Looks like I may have made it through the day.  I'm about to have some catfish, no potatoes, onion rings, hush puppies--nothing but catfish!  Four days to go in Phase I!!

Days 1-3 - Some Success!

Once again, I have decided to diet.  You can call it what you want to, but in reality, it is a diet.  A diet that I should be on for the rest of my life.  But,I am going to take it one minute at a time.

In 2011-12, I started a diet using the Dukan diet--high protein, low fat.  At that time, I started in May of 2012, and by Christmas that year, I was down 96 pounds.  Unfortunately, shortly after that, I decided that I did need carbs and lost the battle AGAIN with a gain of 70 pounds.

It was a great diet and fit into my busy schedule so when I decided this past week that I really do need to prepare for knee surgery, I chose to go on the Dukan Diet again.

Day 1
I'm pumped about this diet.  I got a late start that day so my husband made me a couple of eggs and bacon (need to get turkey bacon which he has done this week!).  I had taken my lunch with me for the week and placed in my fridge so for lunch, I have about 1/3 lb. Turkey pastrami, freshly sliced, on triangle of laughing cow cheese and 3 cilantro/lime pickles (won't be buying those again--too much lime). For dinner, I also had some lunch meat rollups.  Not bad!

Day 2
I decided to try the school's omelet.  I had brought some picante from home to use.  So put a little on a ham/omelet and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was.  Lunch rollups for lunch and a 10-piece McDonald's mcnugget finished off the day.

Day 3
On this day, I tried the omelet again.  At lunch had the rollups and for dinner, McNuggets.  Wait a minute--did the same exact thing I did today.  Goodness!! Better switch it up tomorrow! Because even though I looked up the nutrition value on McNuggets, they probably have too much fat!
