Days 7-9

Day 7

Yesterday, somehow I stepped wrong and really messed up my knee--worse than it has ever been.  I think I said earlier that the primary reason I'm trying to lose weight is for knee replacement sometime soon--probably in the fall.  Hope I can make it until then.

We had scrambled eggs and sausage for breakfast.  Sausage is probably on the Dukan Don't list!  For lunch I made chicken salad with boiled eggs, a few chopped pickles and onions, and a dollop of mayonnaise.  Yes, I know mayonnaise shouldn't be on there.  We are planning grilled pork steaks for dinner.  Unfortunately, we will more than likely grill those in the house :-(  As you can see in the picture, it is a pretty dreary day here, but at least it isn't as cold as some places!

I did weigh this morning and I've lost 7 pounds since I started a week ago tomorrow!  WooHoo!!!

Day 8
I weighed again this morning and am very pleased with the results if I do say so myself.  My whole goal is 70 pounds.  I think I'll be successful with PT after the surgery at that weight.

For breakfast, I had 2 eggs and 4 pieces of turkey bacon.  I could probably do with 2 pieces, but my sweet husband cooks it for me so I hate to tell him that!

We missed lunch today, but about 5, we shared grilled maui maui, 4 grilled shrimp, and a 6 oz steak.  It was delicious at my favorite place.  Very hard to do, but I told them no potatoes, no bread, no rice.  Just grilled veggies for my hubby and we shared the meat.  I've decided that this 10 day Phase I really makes you crave vegetables.  They looked so good!  I'm going to have the biggest salad on Thursday!

Day 9
Started the day late as there was ice everywhere.  Had breakfast with Dave around 9:30 then got ready to
come back to work. We had scrambled eggs and I had 4 slices turkey bacon.  For dinner, I took my friend Karin out for her birthday. I had grilled chicken and a salad.  Yes, I sort of blew Day 9 with the salad.  But it was soooo good.  On Thursday, it won't be blowing it!  Only 1 more day in Phase I--moving on to Phase II.
